Foiling Film Festival

#getreadyfortakeoff

The inaugural Foiling Film Festival USA Edition kicks off in Pensacola, Florida, with submissions opening on December 18, 2024.
Festival Dates

The festival will take place on February 27, 2025, during the renowned Foiling Week Pensacola event, which runs from February 24 to March 2, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida, USA.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM
Detailed program information will be announced soon.

FOILING PASSION
Following the immense success and growing popularity of foiling sports in recent years, the Foiling Week event recognized in 2021 by the World Sailing Class as one of the world’s premier events launched the Foiling Film Festival to celebrate the best films showcasing foiling and the spirit of adventure.
The festival is dedicated to promoting cinematic storytelling about foiling from across the globe. We continually seek new submissions throughout the year to feature on our platforms.

FESTIVAL NIGHTS
The Foiling Film Festival nights provide a unique opportunity to connect with filmmakers, photographers, professional athletes, and mentors in the sailing and foiling world. These events foster creativity, collaboration, and inspiration in a vibrant atmosphere during Foiling Week Pensacola.
Attendees can engage with leaders in the foiling and adventure industries, including engineers, gear manufacturers, brands, potential sponsors, and journalists.

SELECTION PROCESS
Submitted films will be reviewed and curated to create a dynamic two-and-a-half-hour showcase, featuring approximately 8–15 medium/short films. Short films are highly encouraged, as their flexibility enhances programming options. Entrants submitting longer films are advised to also provide a shorter version for consideration.

WORLD TOUR
Films not selected for the main event may still be considered for inclusion in our online platforms, reaching a global audience of sailors and foiling enthusiasts. If your film is chosen for online promotion, our team will contact you to arrange a separate licensing agreement.

Awards & Prizes

We value all submissions and have opted not to judge or award films at this time. However, audience voting during the festival may provide symbolic recognition for standout films.
